La madre parada (baritone saxophone and electronics version), about a poem by Pilar Martín Gila, has been one of the two pieces selected in the instrument with electronics category by the Österreichische Gesellschaft für zeitgenössische Musik (Austrian Society of Contemporary Music) for to be performed on April 1 and 3 in Vienna and Graz, respectively, by Matej Bunderla (sax) and Peter Venus (electronics). The other piece selected is by composer Demian Rudel Rey. This version for baritone saxophone is registered by David Hernando Vitores on his second CD HARIA and was originally written at the request of Santiago Martínez Abad, and will also be released on a forthcoming CD.
On Wednesday, March 20, a concert will take place in the Spring Concert Cycle organized by CPM Arturo Soria, in which two works by Sergio Blardony will be performed:
Entre el murmullo y el vuelo -for actress, soprano/bass saxophone and electronics, on texts by Pilar Martín Gila- and
Tracto -bass saxophone and video version-, the latter from the video creation by Marta Azparren, who will be in charge of the staging. The program includes two other pieces by Alberto Arroyo and Alberto Posadas. The artistic team will be formed by Prado Pinilla (actress), Andrés Gomis (saxophones), Alberto Arroyo and Sergio Blardony (electronics) and Sergio G. Domínguez (lighting).
