The Hernando-Salas duo performs "Torii" in two places in Madrid

The duo composed by saxophonist David Hernando Vítores and pianist Rafael Salas perform Torii in two different concert halls in Madrid during the month of November. In Espacio Ronda on November 3, at the Centro Cultural Antonio Machado, on november 9. The work, written by Sergio Blardony for Tenor Saxophone and piano, was premiered last May.

"Il silenzio svelato" at XXIV Segovia Contemporary Music Conference

On Saturday 29 October at 7.30 pm., in Sala Ex.Presa 2 of the Cárcel_Segovia Creation Center, you can listen Il silenzio svelato, Sergio Blardony work for baritone saxophone, piano, percussion and electronics, performed by the Nuevo Ensemble de Segovia, conducted by Chema García Portela. At the concert, included in the XXIV Segovia Conference on Contemporary Music, also pieces of Ándor Sironi, Gonçalo Lourenço, José María García Laborda and Flores Chaviano.

World premiere "Erle" at Fest3Cantos 2016

The ensemble OCNOS Project premieres next October 21, at 8 pm., the chamber work Erle, written by Sergio Blardony, for soprano, bass clarinet and one guitarist with two guitars, based a poem by Pilar Martín Gila. The program, entitled "Urpflanze" also includes works by Hosokawa, Scelsi, Takemitsu, Messiaen, Dusapin, Webern and Mahler. The concert will take place in the context of the XVI International Festival of Contemporary Music of Tres Cantos (Madrid), in the Auditorium of the Cultural Center Adolfo Suarez.

World premiere "Sueña el río" at Rafel Festival

The V Festival Projecte Rafel 2016 will host on Sunday, 9 October, 7,30 pm, the world premiere of the work Sueña el río, written by Sergio Blardony for clarinet, soprano and electronics, based on a poem by Pilar Martín Gila. The performers will be the soprano Conxi Valero and clarinetist José María Santandreu, and the program includes works by Michelangelo Berbis, Pierre Jodlowski and another premiere of José Antonio Orts.

Wasei Duo plays "Torii" at Guadarrama

The piece for tenor saxophone and piano Torii will be performed on Saturday, July 9, at 8 pm., at  CC La Torre, Guadarrama (Madrid), by wasei Duo, chamber group to which the work is dedicated. The concert will also hear works by Ryota Ishikawa, Mario Carro, Jules Massenet, Claude Debussy and Barry Cockcroft.

Roundtable about Rousseau and music

On Saturday 18 June at 7.30 pm at the bookshop Enclave de Libros (Relatores, 16, Madrid), a roundtable will take place around the Jenaro Talens essay La música de Rousseau: La Querelle des Bouffons y la resistencia a la teoría (Libros de la Resistencia), in which, besides the author, participate the poet Pilar Martín Gila and the composer Sergio Blardony.
