"Lo grotesco" at EPOS Lab, Festival After Cage

On Wednesday, October 21, at 8 p.m., the chamber opera Lo grotesco (and now listen, inside) will be heard at the Gayarre Theater in Pamplona, for actor, soprano, mezzo-soprano, percussion and bass saxophone, written by Sergio Blardony with a libretto by Pilar Martín gila. The work is inscribed in its original context, the EPOS Lab.3, and takes place within the After Cage Festival, together with other chamber operas by José María Sánchez-Verdú and Carolina Cerezo Dávila, with texts by Nieves Muriel and Rosana Acquaroni , respectively. The artistic team is made up of Raúl Marcos (actor and staging), Margarita Rodríguez (soprano), Marta Knörr (mezzo), Andrés Gomis (saxophones) and Eloy Lurueña (percussion). In addition, the show is complemented by a premiere by Javier Torres Maldonado, for oboe and electronics, performed by Pilar Fontalba.

"Il silenzio svelato" at COMA'20 Festival

On Thursday, September 15, at 7:00 p.m., Il silenzio svelato will be heard in the auditorium of the Getafe Conservatory (Madrid), within the COMA'20 Festival. This work, written for baritone saxophone, piano, percussion and electronics, is suggested by texts by Pilar Martín Gila and San Agustín, and is the precedent to another work with the same theme: La bujía de Stromboli. The performerss will be the Sax-Ensemble, conducted by Santiago Serrate. At the concert, premieres by Jorge Castro and another by Juan Manuel Ruiz and works by Zulema de la Cruz and Claudio Prieto can also be heard.

"Despertar otra vez" at UNDAE Radio

UNDAE Radio, a program of Radio Círculo (Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid), opens its season September 28, at 10 p.m., with a selection of works from the Fortín artesonoro and Luscinia labels, both an initiative of Sarah Vacher. It will include a selection from Despertar otra vez, Sergio Blardony's electroacoustic music cycle on poems contained in La cerillera by Pilar Martín Gila. Along with other interesting authors such as Pedro Linde or Eduardo Polonio.

"Es del alma todo el paisaje" at Label Suisse Festival

On September 19, 9 PM., the work Es del alma todo el paisaje will be heard at the Label Suisse Festival held in the Swiss city of Lausanne. The work, written for two saxophones (tenor and baritone) and multi-channel electronics, is suggested by a poem by Pilar Martín Gila. The performance will be carried out by Acute Duo, formed by Sara Zazo and Bera Romairone. In addition to Blardony's work, pieces by Dieter Ammann, Fernando Manassero, Malte Giesen and Nico Varchausky will be performed.

"Despertar otra vez" at second concert of Suena así 2020 cycle

Piece #5 Sin mirada, from the cycle Despertar otra vez, electroacoustic works by Sergio Blardony about the collection of poems "La cerillera" by Pilar Martín Gila, can be heard in the second concert of the Suena así 2020 cycle, organized by the Destellos Foundation. The audition will take place from Radio CASo, a 24-hour audio streaming project of the Centro de Arte Sonoro (Casa Nacional del Bicentenario), on August 17 and 31, at 8 pm. (Mar del Plata time, Argentina). At the concert, works by Nicolás Rodríguez, Adelina Amparán, Evelyn Frosini and Vanessa Massera can also be heard.

"Detrás de los párpados" at Little Opera Zamora Festival

EPOS Lab concert-stage (2018 edition), project conducted by Sergio Blardony, will take place in the context of the Little Opera Zamora Festival, in the castle of this town. It will be on Saturday, July 25 at 11:30 p.m., with the program of this edition of the laboratory: in addition to Blardony's work, Detrás de los párpados, with text by Pilar Martín Gila, a piece by César Camarero, with texts by Menchu Gutiérrez, and another by Alberto Arroyo, about a poem by Guadalupe Grande. The artistic team consists of Marta Knörr (mezzo), Raúl Marcos (actor and staging), Mario Prisuelos (piano), NAPHTA DUO (Javier Gregori Arriaza, violin and Juan Aguilera Cerezo, cello) and Óscar G. Villegas (lighting).
