World premiere of "Despertar otra vez" at the netlabel Fortín Artesonoro

On July 22, the netlabel Fortín Artesonoro premiered the record "Despertar otra vez", a monograph by Sergio Blardony that contains a cycle of electroacoustic pieces around the poetry book La cerillera by Pilar Martín Gila. This set of works take as a starting point as many acoustic or mixed works by the composer, approached from another perspective. In addition, the record (free download) contains, in addition to the audio, a "Trazo", a small video creation that seeks to be a sound and visual essence of each piece.

CD review of "Se oye gritar entre sueños" at Espacio Sonoro magazine

In the issue 51 of the Espacio Sonoro magazine, dedicated to the music of our time, a critical review appears, signed by Camilo Irizo, on the CD "Se oye gritar entre sueños", monographic by Sergio Blardony about the poetry book La cerillera by Pilar Martín Gila. The CD was published by Columna Música and the performers are Proyecto OCNOS, with the presence of sopranos Rocío de Frutos and Trinidad Perea Granadino, guitarist Pedro Rojas-Ogáyar and clarinetist Gustavo Domínguez Ojalvo.

"Después del incendio, toda la noche..." at Reina Sofía Museum

On Wednesday, March 4, at 7:30 pm., Francisco Martínez and the team of the CTE (Centro de Tecnología del Espectáculo, INAEM), will world premiere the version with tenor saxophone of Después del incendio, toda la noche..., work on a poetic text by Pilar Martín Gila, for multichannel electronics and video. The piece, which features the voice of soprano Sylvie Robert and the poet in the electronic part, addresses a story that takes place in a zoo in a city in the Balkans during the last war in this region. The lion's roar becomes a symbolic element and essential sound matter in the speech. The work has been awarded in the Laboratorio del Espacio Contest, and the concert will take place within the framework of the V Sound and Audiovisual Spaces Congress, in the Auditorium 400 of the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, together with works by Spiros Papadopoulos, Jorge Antunes, Oriol Graus, Luis Fonseca, Dominic Purdie and Przemysław Scheller.

Premiere of video with 8D audio of "Aural"

On Monday, February 3, an video with 8D audio of the clarinet version of Aural is premiere, work by Sergio Blardony written at the request of clarinetist José María Santandreu. The video is a production of the performer himself and investigates the proposal of the musical work: movement in space as a form of sound play.

Concert-presentation of the CD "Se oye gritar entre sueños" at CICUS in Seville

On Thursday, January 30, at 8 pm., the concert-presentation of the CD "Se oye gritar entre sueños" will take place, with works by Sergio Blardony on the poems Otro año del mundo by Pilar Martín Gila. The protagonists of the album will participate, Project OCNOS -with Rocío de Frutos, Trinidad Perea, Gustavo Domínguez Ojalvo and Pedro Rojas-Ogáyar- and the authors, interviewed by Ismael G. Cabral. During the concert the world premiere of the work that gives title to the CD will take place. It will be in the CICUS in Seville within the Músicas Actuales cycle.
